This basket has been handwoven by the indigenous Dayak tribe in Sintang, West Kalimantan. Traditionally used for ceremonial gatherings, it makes a perfect addition to a modern home.
It is made from sustainably harvested bamboo and rattan that are woven into a "perahu" pattern. The rattan is coloured using natural dyes from jerenang and lintam plants.
We work directly with the indigenous Dayak craftsmen and local NGOs and non-profit foundations to assure that each craftsmen is receiving a fair share for their high quality artisanal products.
